My fire-breathing brother-in-law, PIT Madness, and the Bean Museum

As Ben is now 26 years young, I thought it appropriate to share his fire-breathing ability with the rest of the world. The Fantastic Four have already offered him a job opening, but he's holding out for a position with the X-Men.

Also, we got together with Katy's siblings, cousins, and extended family for a CRAZY game of Pit last week. My ribs are still smarting from Tanya throwing elbows.

And, for the record, Katy's sister Cheryl is the best Bean Museum reptile handler in recent history.

First real blog entry

I had no idea that so many people I knew were into this blogging thing, so I've decided to reform this and actually make it semi-interesting to those of you who know Katy and me. For those who don't and it's been a while, I will do my best to fill you in on anything particularly interesting since last time we spoke. So, for starters:

Katy and I got married in December 2006. If you haven't heard our story, the short version is that we started dating in early 2004, did the whole year-and-a-half correspondence/relationship abroad while she was on her mission in Brazil, and got married a few months after she got back. Being married is incredibly fun, and it is a lot of fun to be living with my best friend.

While Katy was gone I did a few little things like finish school, pretend to work at a bank for a summer, and, my personal favorite, do study abroad in London! That was easily my favorite academic experience, and for our graduation gift-to-ourselves Katy and I are going back for a week. It'll be nice to have her along this time!

After about a semester of working on my MA, I decided that I didn't want to go on an get a Ph.D in literature, so did what most reformed English majors do: applied to law school. After weighing the options we decided on William and Mary, which we are very excited about. We'll be moving this summer, so if any of you are planning any East Coast trips, make sure to put Williamsburg on your itinerary and we'll reserve the stocks for you.
